It's time to start making your plans to attend the 14th Annual Run For The Hills. Every year, we try to give you a route with all the excitement you can stand. This year we will be returning to The Tail of The Dragon and some of the surrounding area roadways.
We will be basing our run from Franklin, NC so we can get to The Dragon much quicker. Hotel planning is still in the works, but we're looking at several locations in downtown Franklin.
We'll keep you updated as new information is available. We will be having our annual raffle, door prizes, and 50/50 raffle. If anyone has any Fiero related items they would like to donate for the raffle, contact Kevin McFall, Georgia Fiero VP at thomasmtoys@yahoo.com or georgiafieroclub@gmail.com Attn: Kevin. Some of the items already on the list are embroidered Fiero jackets and hats and shirts and a set of limited edition RFTH 14 coffee mugs.
Event tshirts will be available and as soon as we get the design finalized, we'll post it here. For the first time, you will be able to pay through the Georgia Fiero PayPal account. There are no entry fees to join us, so come on out and join in the excitement.
Mark your calendars for September 18, 19, and 20.

It's really an adrenaline rush with 35-50 Fieros taking the curves as hard as they can. We took the Solstice/Sky group on a run and they said they didn't want to go back any more because we drove too fast. All the Fieros went off and left them.
I have this posted on a number of club forums. Check regularly at the Georgia Fiero website for any information that may be posted by other members. |

As much as I'd love to go, I have a mud run that weekend. My company paid for the entry fees so I reckon I'd better go. _________________ Whade' "The Duck Formerly Known As Wade" Duck

Whade, you're not far away, why don't you come out with us on a trial run on July 18. Hit US 76 and come over to Clayton, Ga., then right up US 441 to Franklin. We're going to be documenting the run so we can develop the route sheet.
Anyone else wanting to go is also welcome. |

We now have a link up on the top of the home page of the Georgia Fiero Club website. Tshirt design and ordering info are there. I'll finalize the hotel sometime this coming week and we'll update the website with that information.
Is ANYONE from South Carolina planning to join us? |

Hotel lodging will be at the Franklin Inn, in downtown Franklin, NC. Rooms are in the $50 area. They are normally $75. All rooms will be on the ground level, and all rooms face the pool. A very large and spacious parking lot. The address is 17 W. Palmer Street, Franklin, NC.
Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-433-5507 or 1-828-524-4431. I would suggest calling their local number. In order to receive the special rates you must tell them you are with The Georgia Fiero Club or Run For The Hills event. I have reserved a block of rooms that will be available at these rates through Saturday, September 12. After that date, the rooms are released and the rates return to standard prices. |

If anyone from the SC Fiero Club is planning to attend the RFTH 14 and hasn't ordered their shirt, you must do so by tomorrow night, Sunday Aug. 30. We're closing the store Sunday night and the shirts won't be available after that time. At this time, you may only order on the link below. Mail orders are no longer being accepted.

sorry know one came fierofool. we had a pretty busy summer individually and many people faded away from the forum and club (including myself). I hope that some can show a better showing at next years. That is an event I have always wanted to attend, but I no longer have a fiero and I had a church youth group event taking place this past weekend (i am the leader). _________________ Very Respectfully,

Sorry that no one could make it. It was a great run and lots of fun. It stopped raining Friday night and didn't start back until Saturday night. The skies parted to Let Our People Go to The Dragon. Even if you get down to just a few members, you guys keep at it and don't let the club fall apart.
Go to the message board, new forum at www.gafiero.org to see some of the pics, or to the threads in General Fiero Chat and/or Events on Pennocks Discussion Forum. |
