I'm going back to the Fiero Factory to pick up the coupe next weekend - Anybody need anything? Ed has literally thousands of parts...

| I guess it would have to be small parts since you'll be driving the fiero. LOL. Have a safe trip. We'll have to try and get together when you get back. |

Will do. We could do a burger cookout at my house if some others would like to get together. _________________ '88 Coupe

Glad to hear things have been ironed out with the Coupe - I know that was bugging the heck out of you.
How does it run now?
I am up for a burger burn. |

Well, I think it is performing a bit better. The big thing was fixing the bad seal on the crank. I was pretty much convinced that the engine was using oil, but the new seal seems to have stopped the oil loss. The missing piece of the throttle linkage was a bearing in the bellcrank on the throttle body. The throttle would occasionally stick wide open, and I'd have to shut the engine off and restart the car to get it back under control. The missing bearing was probably the culprit, and the geometry of of the throttle linkage was changed just a bit without it. I suppose this affected the engine performance - not by a lot, but when your engine is only rated @ 98HP, you need every bit of it!
When do you all want to burn some burgers? |

Ed and the guys at the Fiero Factory do amazing work. I purchased two cars from them and had work done on all three that I have owned. I even have a part or two on their wall of shame. Well worth the trip if you can go! _________________ Larry Preston
